  In our series of studies on the Hermetic Principles described in the book The Kybalion (Study of the Hermetic Philosophy of Ancient Egypt and Greece) , we arrive at the fifth Principle, the Principle of Rhythm. This Principle teaches us that: "Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates." We have already learned in the Principle of Polarity that everything comes in pairs, everything has two poles.   In this second post about the Hermetic Principles (the first is the Principle of Mentalism ), we will talk about the Principle of Correspondence which explains the following: "As above, so below; as below, so above." Above? Below? Of what? When we talk about above and below, we are talking about vibration frequency ranges. For example, the color Red is in a frequency range between 405 and 480(THz). Orange is between 480 and 510 (THz). Yellow between 510 and 530(THz) and so on. So what is more subtle (invisible to our eyes) has a higher (above) frequency and what is denser (closer to matter, more visible to our eyes) has a lower (below) frequency. But this does not mean that one is better than the other, it just means that each manifestation occurs according to its frequency.
