How The Universe Works: The Principle of Mentalism

Hello! My name is Ricardo Tinti, I work with Spiritualist Psychoanalysis and Humanoterapeuta (Energy and Spiritual Healing Treatment). This is the 1st in a series of 7 articles on the Hermetic Principles.

What Are The 7 Hermetic Principles?

There are 7 precepts brought by Hermes Trismegistus in Ancient Egypt about the functioning of the Universe (Spiritual/Mental/Physical). These are the teachings that Alchemists of the Middle Ages relied on to perform their internal alchemy disguised as chemistry to avoid religious persecution and which today is the basis for much of Holistic thinking. The Kybalion is the most famous book today that contains these principles.

I bring this series not to convince the reader, but so that they see these principles as hypotheses and analyze their applications (after the 3rd principle it becomes easier =)

The first of these 7 principles is the Principle of Mentalism:

"The All is Mind; The Universe is Mental"

What would be The All?

The All is the All, everything is contained within it, there can be nothing outside the All because if there were something outside it would not be the All, something would be missing.

This means that everything that exists in the entire Universe makes up The All.

With the knowledge we already have today about the composition of matter, we know that everything is made up of atoms that are subdivided into smaller particles and that in the end become energy (here we are approaching the field of Quantum Physics). We also know that all energy is transformed but is never lost (“In Nature, nothing is created, nothing is lost, everything is transformed”).

Particles

Understanding that everything is energy and that different forms of manifestation of this energy (frequency/vibration) generate different forms of matter, we can understand that we are also made of this energy vibrating at a specific frequency/vibration for our physical composition. In other words, each of us is a unique manifestation of a part of the energy of The All.

Just as our organs are parts of us, fulfilling their functions and maintaining our body, the same is true for every thing in the Universe.

So From What Are We Created?

Just as your thought can create an entire Universe within your mind by transforming the energy that is available (hi synapses), the same applies to The All.

Energy already exists and is manifested in a certain way, so while The All "thinks" about the Universe and all its parts, each of them receives its information (frequency/vibration/form of manifestation) and this Universe exists.

And How Can I Apply This?

If physical matter (and everything that is happening in the physical field) is one of the resulting manifestations of the Mental Field of the All and I am an individualized part of that Mental Field (here comes our ego, our individuality), the solutions to what we seek must be applied first in this mental field.

When information is adjusted in this mental field (changed frequency/vibration), then by correspondence what manifests in matter also adjusts to this new information.
