How The Universe Works: The Principle of Correspondence
In this second post about the Hermetic Principles (the first is the Principle of Mentalism ), we will talk about the Principle of Correspondence which explains the following: "As above, so below; as below, so above." Above? Below? Of what? When we talk about above and below, we are talking about vibration frequency ranges. For example, the color Red is in a frequency range between 405 and 480(THz). Orange is between 480 and 510 (THz). Yellow between 510 and 530(THz) and so on. So what is more subtle (invisible to our eyes) has a higher (above) frequency and what is denser (closer to matter, more visible to our eyes) has a lower (below) frequency. But this does not mean that one is better than the other, it just means that each manifestation occurs according to its frequency. In Hermeticism it is understood that we live on 3 different planes of manifestation (this division was made for a rational understanding, not that there is a physical barrier that divides the planes)...
